iCloud Backup (iPhone vs Mac)

There are several ways to back up your iCloud to Monument. The easiest way is to use the Monument App on your iOS device. If you do not have an iPhone, you can also back up using the Mac app.

Back up iCloud with iPhone

  1. Sign in with your Apple ID
  2. Go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Turn on iCloud Photo Library 
  3. Go to Monument Settings > Upload > Auto-Upload > Turn on
  4. Only the original high resolution content will automatically back up to Monument from your iCloud

Back up iCloud with Mac

  1. Sign in with your Apple ID


  2. Open Photos app

  3. Select all photos (Keyboard: Command + A)


  4. Click File > Export > Export Unmodified Original For X Items


  5. Select additional export options


  6. Select download location


  7. Export will finish

    • All photos and videos from your iCloud will be saved in their original quality (if you have enough space on your hard drive)




  9. Use the desktop app to back up the photos you just downloaded to Monument
