Setup must first be completed on an iOS or Android device before the desktop app can be installed.

Desktop App Setup

The desktop app can be used to back up photos and videos from your PC, Mac, external hard drives, flash drives, CDs, and other devices connected to your computer.


  • Windows 7 or above
  • macOS 10.10 (Yosemite) or above
  1. Download and install Monument desktop app
  2. On your computer, connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your Monument
  3. Open the app and it will search for Monument

  4. Select your Monument

  5. Select user

  6. An e-mail will be sent to the primary user

  7. The Primary User will need to click "Allow Access" in the e-mail

  8. Desktop app will start syncing

  9. Photos will start being displayed
